Improve Local Nonprofits and therefore the General Community

It's often the case that very simple technology needs of local nonprofits go unmet either as a result of the lack of funds or simply a lack of understanding of the possible benefits.  Some very simple technology can often have dramatic impact on an organization.  We want to help kick start web based technology in local nonprofits to help them increase their success and therefore help create a better community in general.

Involve

Involve the Design and Development Community more in the General Community

The design and development community is full of some of the most intelligent and talented folks around.  Their daily job is to tackle extremely difficult problems with imaginative and elegant solutions.  It is often the case that the enormous talent of this community is not leveraged to solve issues for our local nonprofits and our general community.  Our goal is to involve this community in ways that tap into both their talent and passion, while also putting structure around their involvement to keep them from being overburdened.

Inspire

Inspire the Technology Imagination of the General Community

We believe the more the general community sees what's possible from the amazing minds of the design and development community, the more inspired it will be by the possibilities.  We want to bridge, the often wide, imagination gap between techys and non-techys so the whole community can dream together, creating a vibrant, world class, web technology economy.
